A man with immense wisdom and advise, my father has made me what I am to day. He is the linchpin of my success in my life. Being a teacher by profession, I was really touched with the way he used to concentrate all his efforts in making his students pass. This also made me to follow his footsteps by working extremely hard in school.

He also encouraged and advised me to work even harder, telling me that the sky was the limit. Today, I am convinced that with the course am pursuing, I would get a very good job out of it. My father is a person with a lot of respect for both his elders and younger ones.

All along my entire lifetime, I have seen the sober manner in which he settles domestic scores and reprimanded us when we erred. In both cases, consultations and dialogue were the key traits that guided him. As a consequence, I have been able to live harmoniously with both friends and foes.

My moral decorum and uprightness is all owed to my father. He always warned me against engaging in immoral activities chief among them being sex before marriage. Being a humble and down-to-earth person, my father ensured that we were like him.

Instead, forgetting the past success and working even harder isthe motto. The word Love sounds little but few people understand what it really means to love. It is a trait that cannot easily be self cultivated in an individual person. It can only be shown in a person and the person would also show it onto others in return. It is a trait that my father had and still possesses. It has enabled me to extend my love to all who associate with me in one way or another.

I believe in doing things early and fast in life. This is something that I learnt from my father. It is my father who cultivated in me the culture of disliking drug abuse and consumption of alcohol. As he never used to take alcohol nor smoke, is how I grew. At times, one is faced in difficult problems in life. These are mostly social-financial in nature. My father was never an optimist in life. He thinks positively and does not believe in defeat.

This influenced my optimistic approach towards issues, tasks and other difficult life situations. I cannot forget how he trained me to be a God fearing man. This feature was inculcated right from my childhood through constant worshipping and moral teachings. Being God fearing has influenced my relationship with people.

It has also influenced the pragmatic ways at which I tackle real life situations. Indeed, I can say that it is my father has made me what I am today. Lazarsfield, Personal influence, Transaction Publishers,

The Influence of My Parents Essay

I admire him because he is strong, a hard worker, and is caring. My father is the person I admire most. He has always been someone I have looked up to. When I was young I looked up to my dad because he would spend time with me and we would have fun together. I also looked up to him because I thought he was smart, because he would always help me with my maths homework without a calculator.

As a result of this I learnt how to use mental maths. However, as I have grown older, I realize that there are many other reasons I admire my father. For example, my father is the owner for his company. His job requires him to work long hours, and to always be on the top of his game.

Yet every basketball game, boxing match, and concert my sister goes to, my dad is always present. I admire how much my dad cares for his family. I also admire how helpful my dad is. He is the one person I feel comfortable asking anything to. I trust his advice, and even after long days at work my dad will always listen to me.

Overall, my dad is a great person, who I highly admire. The top reason I admire my dad is he is determined and dedicated. These two qualities are ones that I hope I can carry on throughout my life. Watching my dad strive to reach business goals, or work extra hours just to make one more deal have inspired me to set high goals for myself and work extremely hard to reach them.

I admire him because he is also hard working. He was always determined to work as hard or as much as possible to make sure his family had what it needed or wanted. He never complained that he was tired, underpaid or overworked. As long as his family was OK, he was OK.

I realized this when I started paying for my games and shoes. Because of his caringness and consideration for others, he would do anything to help where he could. All the good he did was done low-key, without calling attention to himself. I remember when my grandfather was staying with us for over a year when he was diagnosed with cancer allowing my mother to take care of her father like his own father.

I noticed all these qualities gradually. No matter how tired he was from his long work week, he would be up bright and early Saturday morning to attend any of our sporting events, tournaments, and then chauffeur us and our friends to parties or school dances. He was always very protective and kept a watchful eye over us. I admire a lot of people but the person I admire the most is my father. This is because my father is the one who knows what is best for me.

He is the most important person in my life. There is no reason for me to live without him by my side. He is the one who helps me grow up, gives me advice, takes care of me, shows me the right way, always support me greatly, and does many things just for me.

In my life, I never see a best person who can be similiar to my father. My father is incomparable. He will never make any grunts and groans but always being patient with our bad manners. I realised so much sacrifices he had spent on us, but he will never ask for return except for an education. In every aspect of my life my father continuously pushes me to succeed. Whenever I feel like giving up, or have a question, I know I can always call my father for advice.

The lesson, though, is to look for the value in everything. Realize that we need to be good stewards of what we have. From him I have also learned that sometimes you have to put others needs ahead of your own, but not to the point they will begin to take advantage on you.

His strength seems to be unbreakable during hard times, and is extremely determined to accomplish anything he sets his mind on.

I hold great esteem for how he stands up for what he believes in, and will never back down. I have always admire his open mind, compassion, and sense of understanding. He is a very reserved man, but has a great sense of humor, and always know how to put a smile on my face. This is why I admire my Father.

The person who I admire the most is my father

I love my father very much. Listens to people: Sometimes we think of great people as being the loud orators in life, the difference makers with words and speeches. My dad was the opposite.

He was always quiet, easy going and had a knack of listening to what you would say. He was genuinely interested in what was going on in your life. The one thing I miss the most now, is the long conversations we used to have. Age has taken some of this away. Understands people: Being the listener that he was, dad would have a way of understanding people. As I grew up, he helped me see through phony facades and schemes. He had an uncanny sense about others.

Enlarges people: Anyone who has worked with my dad, even for a short while, would always comment on how positive and easy going he was. He never took himself too seriously.

He always gave me the tools to be successful. Many times this was holding back on my wants and then providing my needs. When I would go off on some wild tangent and get in trouble he was always there with a kind, forgiving word. I think I only saw him really mad once in his life. Connects with people: With a endearing sense of humor, my dad always won people over with laughter.

From unquenchable puns to one liners and funny stories, he never took himself too seriously. This broke down many walls. Even at 93 his sense of humor is still paramount. He is still as quick with a joke as he was when I was a kid. Empowers people: Needs over wants.
